About Me
30+ Years of Clinical Foundation. A Partnership for the Driven Mind.
30+ Years of Clinical Foundation. A Fellow Entrepreneur’s Perspective.
I’m Jeanene Wolfe, and for over three decades, I have had the privilege of sitting across from people as they navigate the most complex chapters of their lives. My career hasn’t been a straight line—it has been a multi-passionate entrepreneurial journey fueled by a deep curiosity about how we heal, how we grow, and how we perform.
I founded Attune Psychotherapy because I realized that high-achieving adults—the entrepreneurs, the “fixers,” and the relentless perfectionists—are often underserved in traditional therapy. You’re expected to have all the answers, but inside, you’re often “white-knuckling” your way through the very success you worked so hard to build.
I provide a space where you are a person, not a data point. Your growth is a lived experience, not a training set for a server.
The Perspective of a Neurodivergent Mind
From my professional and personal experience, I know what it’s like to manage a life that is full of big ideas and high stakes. I also bring the personal perspective of a late-diagnosed ADHD mind. This doesn’t define my work, but it does give me a unique appreciation for the “busy brain.” Whether your mind is neurodivergent or simply overloaded by the demands of your career, I understand the internal noise that comes with trying to do it all.
My Clinical Approach: Beyond Talk Therapy
Most of my clients are incredibly smart. They can logically explain why they are stressed, but they can’t get their nervous system to catch up to their logic. That is why I move beyond traditional talk therapy and focus on neurobiological resolution.
Brainspotting: I use this specialized tool to target the subcortical “source code” of your stress. By bypassing the thinking brain, we can resolve performance blocks and anxiety at the root, leading to faster, more sustainable relief.
Adult ADHD Evaluations: I provide comprehensive evaluations for adults who suspect ADHD is part of their story. We move past the checklists to provide you with a comprehensive roadmap for your life and career with recommendations tailored specifically for you.
A Clinical Partnership: I treat our work as a professional, high-level partnership. You don’t need a sounding board; you need a grounded, neuro-affirming expert who honors your ambition while helping you reclaim your peace.
Outside the Office
I am a native of Virginia Beach, where I live with my husband and our cockapoo. When I’m not in the “clinical seat,” you’ll find me biking, taking photographs, or geeking out over new tech gadgets. I am a lifelong learner, constantly looking for innovative ways to support my clients and the “humans who happen to be therapists” through my consultation groups at CollabOasis.
The Foundation
Education: B.S. in Biology from James Madison University; Master of Social Work from Norfolk State University.
Experience: 30 years across pediatric hospice, HIV/AIDS support, homelessness prevention, and private practice.
Licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia and Florida.
I have a passion for helping my clients navigate life’s challenges and rediscover their strengths. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and tailored to meet you exactly where you are. I believe that each person’s journey is unique, and my goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and goals with honesty and openness.
I founded a program called CollabOasis Clinical Consultation Groups that provides consultation groups for licensed psychotherapists. In the field of mental health, it is important to get consultation on a regular basis to ensure we are providing the best care possible to our clients as well as get the support we need to work sustainably in this high burnout field. This allows me to support some amazing therapists doing amazing work!
I work with adults who are outwardly capable but internally carrying a high level of pressure. My practice is especially well-suited for:
- Perfectionism and overthinking: for adults who are driven, self-critical, and exhausted by the pressure to perform at a high level.
- ADHD in adults: including clarity around attention, executive functioning, self-trust, and the impact of late identification.
- Work performance and professional pressure: for entrepreneurs, professionals, and other high-achieving adults who feel blocked, burnt out, or stuck in overdrive.
- Brainspotting for deeper change: for adults who understand their patterns intellectually but want help shifting the deeper nervous system responses that keep them stuck.
I believe therapy should be a space where you feel truly heard and supported. My approach is integrative, meaning I use a combination of therapeutic techniques to best meet your needs. This includes:
- Brainspotting: I offer Brainspotting, a powerful technique that helps access and process deeper emotional blocks, especially in cases of trauma, anxiety, or performance challenges. This method allows us to go beyond talk therapy to target and release the root causes of emotional pain or limiting beliefs.
- Brainspotting Intensives: These are immersive therapy sessions that dive deep into your experiences, offering the chance for significant progress in a short amount of time and usually for less money. These last for three or more hours at a time and are held over one, two or three days or even monthly. I will create a custom package just for you.
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: This is used mainly as we are getting to know each other and develop your unique treatment plan. It also works to help gain insights and redefine limiting beliefs.
- Mindfulness: I incorporate mindfulness to help clients become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations in the present moment. By developing this awareness, you can gain greater control over how you respond to stress, anxiety, or difficult emotions, rather than being overwhelmed by them. Mindfulness also promotes self-compassion and acceptance, allowing for deeper healing and personal growth throughout the therapeutic process.
- Somatic Techniques: These go hand in hand with the other techniques we will be doing and help you become more aware of your body. We will customize a plan of techniques that you can use any time you need some extra support.
